Pool Triangle Winner 2008

John Colman does the double


The Yorkshire Road Club's answer to Chris Hoy? not only winning the the Pool Triangle series but also winning the Tadcaster Thursday Night League, John Colman has seen a noticeable improvement in his time trialing abilities since acquiring the services of cycling coach Ruth Eyles . Carl Saint produced the fastest ride of the year riding a 27.23 on the last event of the series. Many thanks again to Steve and Tony Woodrup for running the series.

In the Cyclesense Tadcaster League Yorkies stole the show, with John Colman winning, Dave Meakin 2nd, Steve Smith 3rd, John Rowland 4th, Stan Mills 5th and Russ Brown 7th.

On a cool & windy, but dry day there was a surprise win for John Rowland with close results for the other placings. James Atkinson took the handicap event in another close finish. The sun came out for the pub though. - Results

 

Hit The North - 12 Hour Endurance MTB Race. 19th July 2008

Chip timed and fully marshaled, catering services, first aid, trade stands, etc. Camping for TWO NIGHTS (Friday and Saturday), showers, toilets and catering. David Stone - World Champion

Dave Stone in action at the 2007 World champs

Winning the Mens CP2 (Trikes), David Stone, Great Britain rider and YRC member took two Gold medals in searing heat at the 2007 World Disability Cycling Championships in Bordeaux, France last week.

Dave is a regular rider at the Tuesday night & Saturday morning YRC chaingang rides. Dave said that holding on to Vince Macklam & Steve Smith's wheels at these events was good training for the Worlds.
